History

Gift Land Group is a privately owned company which has a strong foothold in the market it caters to. This unique style of Departmental Store is founded & owned by Abdullah Abdul Rahim Aboonajmi. It was established in 1979 with its first retail outlet in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Based on the outlet’s success, the second branch was opened in Dubai within 2 years time and the growth continued with more outlets being opened in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Currently the group has 7 outlets in the two cities. Due to its location and target market, Gift Land is more popularly known among its customers as a ‘unique discount store’, where you can find all the household items catering the people staying in the vicinity.

Overview

Mr. Aboonajmi being Chairman has hired a C.E.O and a General Manager to handle the company operations and further expansion. Ever since, Gift Land is looking at new opportunities and restructuring the group by hiring professionals. The company currently has a work force of more than 240 dedicated employees who are supervised by competent management. Working hours are from 8:30 am to 11:30 pm every day. Gift Land’s extensive experience in the retail industry it serves in, has definitely given it a competitive edge to understand the needs of consumers, and accordingly provide them with the most valuable products and service.

Some of Gift Land's various departments hold, items such as household items, stationery, perfumes, watches, cosmetics, electronics, pharmaceutical, decor items, Gifts/Souvenirs, toys, Ladies Accessories, travel luggage, Air Fresheners, confectionary, garments & shoes, etc.
